Weekend Watch 3/3-3/4
What I'm Watching this Weekend: Strangers on a Train (1951)- 1 hr 43 mins

Guy Haines (Farley Granger) and Bruno Anthony (Robert Walker) meet on the train
Strangers on a Train will always have a special place in my heart. It is a film that I was first introduced to on a dark night while my friend and I were trying to make are way through all director Alfred Hitchcock's movies. Let me tell you, Hitchcock didn't fail to live up to his title as "The Master of Suspense" in this one.
As you can most likely guess by the title, the film begins when two strangers meet. Guy Haines (Farley Granger), a successful pro tennis star, is taking a train to visit his cheating wife (Kasey Rogers) so that he can ask for a divorce in order to marry the Senator's daughter (Ruth Roman). While on the train Haines strikes up a conversation with a stranger named Bruno (Robert Walker), a psychotic socialite who has a theory on how two strangers can get away with murder- a theory he sends into motion. Hitchcock leaves you impatiently waiting at the edge of your seat for the end climax, which is just as suspenseful, if not more, than the rest. Enjoy!
