It Happened One Night (1934) - 1 hr 45 mins
In this Oscar winning classic, Claudette Colbert stars as Ellie Andrews, an heiress who has just impulsively married the fortune-hunting King Westley (Jameson Thomas). Her father (Walter Connolly) tries to keep her from Westley and arrange for an annulment, but, in the meantime, Ellie escapes. While her father hires detectives, Ellie catches a Greyhound bus in the hopes of joining her husband. On the way, she meets Peter Warne (Clark Gable). A reporter, he offers to help Ellie in exchange for an exclusive story. She agrees, and the two embark on their journey. But,along the way, things grow complicated as they begin falling for each other.
It Happened One Night is a classic that no one should miss. A huge influencer of the Rom-Coms that followed, It Happened One Night doesn't miss a beat. Each scene is as entertaining as the next, with its razor sharp dialogue, great physical comedy, and perfectly timed tender moments. Enjoy!

Libeled Lady (1936) - l hr 38 mins
When a newspaper accuses a wealthy socialite (Myrna Loy) of being a home wrecker, she sues for libel. The paper's editor (Spencer Tracy), his ignored fiance (Jean Harlow), and a re-hired reporter (William Powell), specializing in “libel,” hatch an elaborate scheme to force the heiress to drop the suit.
Libeled Lady is a delightfully hysterical, madcap comedy that pulls out all the stops!

The Awful Truth (1937) - 1 hr 31 mins
A married couple, Jerry and Lucy (Cary Grant and Irene Dunne) are suspicious of each others fidelity, each unable to believe the "unbelievable" truth. They decide to get a divorce and both begin pursuing new romances. However, in trying to prevent the other from finding love, they soon realize that they still love one another, but what will they do with such little time before their final decree?
In their first of three movies together, Grant and Dunne's great chemistry brings this wonderful script to life. Not much needs to be said between these two for you to start laughing. With a mixture of one-liners, comical, facial expressions, physical comedy, and rhythmic dialogue, The Awful Truth is a gem that no one can resist.
