It’s been more than a month since Doris Day’s passing, but her sparkle still has the power to light up a room thanks to so many wonderful performances captured on film. That's why I am excited to watch one of her ‘60s rom-coms, The Thrill of It All. It co-stars James Garner, with whom she also starred in the re-adaptation of the classic film My Favorite Wife newly entitled Move Over, Darling (1963). Stay tuned for my thoughts after I see it this weekend!

Thoughts after watching the film:

As expected, Garner and Day have great screen chemistry in the film! The film’s concept, too, has a lot of potential, but I think that some of the absurdities - namely a few very improbable parts that were miscast as well as some the film’s overly quirky moments - detract from many of the movie’s high points. Needless to say, the film will still most certainly entertain you and brighten up your day!
