Singin' in the Rain (1952)- 1 hr 43 mins
When the introduction of sound comes to the film industry, Silent-Star team Don Lockwood (Gene Kelly) and Lina Lamont (Jean Hagen) have to figure out how to survive the new phenomenon of the talkies, which may include involving a chorus girl (Debbie Reynolds) to dub Lina's unattractive voice.
Singing' in the Rain is by far the top movie musical. It has fantastic dancing, choreographed by the lead, Gene Kelly, himself, a great musical score, and a comedic flair to boot!

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954)- 1 hr 58 mins
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is something that the whole family can enjoy! Set among great music and athletic dance numbers, Howard Keel stars as "scroungy backwoodsman," Adam, who is determined to find himself a wife during his one day visit to town. He gets way he wants and marries Millie (Jane Powell) the day he meets her, bringing her back to his house in the mountains, but Millie doesn't know what she's coming home to: his six ill-mannered bothers. Millie sets out to shape up the brothers, teaching them manners, and, most importantly, how to court a girl. But when the six brothers fall in love with six local girls, trouble arises. They "capture" the girls in the night, trapping them up at their house in the winter. The only problem is that they forgot the Parson!
