What I’m watching this weekend: Prince of Foxes (1949)-1 hrs 54 mins

This weekend I plan to watch Prince of Foxes for the first time. Tyrone Power plays Andrea Orsini, a powerful and dedicated servant to Cesare Borgia (Orson Welles). Orsini questions his master's actions, though, when he is tasked with surveying the peaceful Citta del Monte and falls for the kind and loyal Camilla (Wanda Hendrix).

Thoughts after watching the film. 

The opening was very strong, with Welles giving a strong and compelling performance, but the early intrigue died down soon afterwards. The plot grew slower and the story less enticing. I have seen better period dramas and adventure films. That being said, some of the action scenes are quite good.
