3 Classic Westerns Vol. 1
Dodge City (1939), Stagecoach (1939), and She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (1949)
I am very excited to perhaps introduce you to the genre of Classic Westerns. What I love most about them is that each character is unique and important. What I really mean is that even the smallest parts have wonderful actors. I have in this first volume another Flynn-de Havilland film, for those of you who watched The Adventures of Robin Hood from "Weekend Watch," and two films with the classic pairing of John Wayne and director John Ford. I hope that you enjoy these as much as I do!

Stagecoach (1939)- 1 hr 58 mins
Stagecoach is a great classic and perhaps, certainly an influencer of, the best westerns ever made.
It all begins when a diverse group of strangers board a stage coach. They're headed for a dangerous journey full of Indians and outlaws and will have to set aside their differences if they are going to make it through.
Stagecoach has everything that makes a western a western: a climactic shoot out, a pursuit from the Indians, and a roster of wonderful characters that are everything but clichés.
Availability: Youtube, Amazon video, Googleplay, DVD, and on Blu-ray.

She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (1949)- 1 hr 43 mins
Nearing his retirement, Calvary Captain Nathan Brittles (John Wayne) is tasked with one last mission to prevent a Native American attack after Custer's Last stand.
Shot in beautiful color, She Wore a Yellow Ribbon is more than just action. The film explores the subtle nuances of characters as Captain Brittles faces his last days in the calvary.
