Stanton Carlisle, a manipulative carnival worker, discovers the secret to a mind-reading act and uses it to take him to the top of the "Spook Racket." He succeeds, but his untamable ambition might bring his whole world crashing down. 

An atypical, creepy Film Noir, Nightmare Alley is a great way to finish out the Halloween week.
