Miracle on 34th Street (1947)- A perfect transition from Thanksgiving to the Christmas season, starring Maureen O'Hara and a very young Natalie Wood
The Miracle of Morgan’s Creek (1944)- A zany comedy that’s not a full-on Christmas movie but a lot of fun nonetheless
The Man Who Came to Dinner (1942)- A quirky comedy based on a Broadway play; you'll probably recognize Bette Davis but Monty Woolley is really the one to watch!
December 8-December 14
Christmas in Connecticut (1945)- This one will make your mouth water as Barbara Stanwyck pretends to more than know her way around the kitchen.
It Happened on 5th Avenue (1947)- Although not completely set around Christmas, this film is full of the spirit of Christmas!
A Christmas Carol (1951)- A longstanding classic for the Christmas holiday.
December 15- December 21
The Shop Around the Corner (1940)
Holiday Inn (1942)- A delightful musical about an Inn that opens only on the holidays.*
The Bishop’s Wife (1947)- Starring three great classic movie stars, including Cary Grant as the angel Dudley.
December 22- December 25
Remember the Night (1940)- Starring Barbara Stanwyck, who was also in the film “Christmas in Connecticut” (1945), it’s a tender Christmas movie that doesn't get watched enough!
It’s a Wonderful Life (1946)- A must see! Perfect for Christmas or Christmas Eve.
White Christmas (1954)- A musical in which Bing Crosby sings the iconic White Christmas
