Weekend Watch 2/29-3/1
What I’m watching this weekend: Oklahoma! (1955)- 2 hrs 25 mins
This weekend I am revisiting one of my favorites again, Oklahoma! (1955). From the powerful pairing of Rogers and Hammerstein, Oklahoma! pulls out all the stops with gorgeous songs, like “People Will Say We’re In Love” and “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin'.” Oklahoma! may be a long-established classic, but it is still as freshly entertaining as ever!
Laurey and Curly are two very stubborn individuals who refuse to admit their love for one another until they just can’t keep it a secret anymore. Supported by great dance numbers and arrangements and set against the beautiful backdrop of the Oklahoma plains on the verge of statehood, Oklahoma! is a must-see or hear!
