In this epic Civil War drama, the story centers around Scarlett O’Hara. An overwhelmingly selfish, high-strung southern belle, O’Hara is desperate to win over the love of the married Ashley Wilkes (Leslie Howard), but through the war and the reconstruction of the South, she comes to rely on Rhett Butler (Clark Gable), a gambler and lady’s man, who may be worth more to her than she thinks.

Given the full Hollywood treatment, Gone with the Wind does not disappoint. It's a riveting drama that not only showcases the classic Gable persona but fabulous performances by the entire cast, an engrossing screenplay, and beautiful technicolor as well. Gone with the Wind is a classic to be remembered in what many regard as Hollywood's best year ever, 1939!
