A special ops group led by Captain Nelson (Errol Flynn) is tasked with the crucial mission of taking out a Japanese radar station before the invasion of Burma. They succeed, but the journey home proves more difficult than they expected.

Although it is a film that doesn’t really feature a lead role per say, Flynn in his subtle but strong performance as Captain Nelson is undoubtedly the anchor of this ensemble cast. The film was one of his last before his less successful post-war career. Flynn was especially proud to be a part of it, particularly since his health prohibited him from serving in the military. I truly recommend seeing Flynn in one of his most memorable, non-swashbuckler, period melodrama films. If that's not reason enough to see the film, I recommend seeing it because it is one of the most notably accurate war films of the day.
